I wrote back a while ago that I was stepping off the bandwagon of endless camera gear purchases.
I didn’t really believe it at the time. It was one of those wishful thinking posts that I put up as what I want to happen vs. what actually happens.
However, to my astonishment, despite the daily email onslaught of camera and related offers over this holiday season, I have neither succumbed nor felt twinges of wanting to succumb to the latest and greatest (the new Canon 100-400mm zoom for example).
Have I really reached saturation point? The jury is still out – the after-Christmas sales are still to come – but it is looking much more promising than I believed in September.
Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Conquered?
I hope so.
