Decaying memories do not dissolve peacefully – they give off a lot of heat.
It's that heat that can be so upsetting and it takes time for it to radiate away. All you can do is to open yourself as wide as possible and let the foggy steam rise into the wide open air.
That's what I have been doing over the past couple of days. What's different this time is how I articulate this development. Never before have I seen so clearly into the mental processes that have involved me.
Experience and age must have a lot to do with it. Lowering my shields has more.
I think the decade of the fifties has a profound effect on the way people look at things. It's a pivotal moment of development, where we begin to examine our mental and spiritual lives more fully. We're on the downhill slope, so to speak.

Gee, thanks a lot!:lol:No, I know what you mean. But you know we can rage against the dying of the light as it were — I find many things from my past coming back, positive things. Last January I started up violin again. And in November I'm going to take advantage of our park downtown and learn to ice skate again. Also learn to fall on my ***** a lot all over again.

Watch out, Kamerad … we're a lot more breakable than we used to be.
:lol:I didn't mean that in a bad way. The downhill slope takes less physical effort. Gives us a chance to think about the mental/spiritual things.Shift some priorities around.:D

beautiful photo. I've often watched steam rising of piles of bark mulch, but never thought of it as having deep insights into life 🙂 Thanks for posting!
