The Mississippi is down, the first time in a long while. A lot more rocks to be seen compared to this.
Photograph taken yesterday (Friday) evening. The water was low enough that some mud flats were visible. Haven't seen those for months.

Good news, and I am sure a relief to a lot of people's minds. Excellent photo. I like the orange concave depression, which seems to be holding the sun. 🙂
Thank you, Edward – yes, I like that effect too. The sun shining through a thin bank of cloud did it.:)
So peaceful-looking.

Our rivers are so tiny compared to rivers you have there 😀
At this point, it really does look like a lake. There are plenty of similar spots on all the great rivers in the central US.
The river is still so wide it looks more like a lake 😀

The same in true in Britain. I was amazed at the size of the U.S. rivers when I first moved there. Actually, I'm still amazed!:)
