I returned to the vicinity of the Chain Of Rocks Bridge, back down to the low water dam, to catch these photographs today.
A semi-cloudy day, with a pale sun filtered through high cloud, not particularly exciting in terms of light. To make things a little more interesting, I decided to photograph the rapids using neutral density filters on my lens to cut the amount of light entering and increase the exposure time.
I then processed the images using linear contrast to emphasize the white caps of the water. The result is rather pretty, I think.
