Oh, such irony.

Every scientist dreams of getting published in Science magazine, the most prestigious (alongside Nature) science magazine in the world.

I've never had that privilege up until now, and did it through My Opera. This photograph of Alexander von Humboldt that I put up here was chosen to accompany a review of The Passage to Cosmos, Alexander von Humboldt and the Shaping of America by Laura Dassow Walls. (You will probably need to be in a library or have an online subscription to 'Science' to read the review).

The irony lies in that it took my hobby and not my scientific career to get my name into this magazine. My name, and the name of this blog too. Good for My Opera! 🙂
