We're on the edge of summer here in St. Louis. Highs in the 80s (high 20s C), evenings still bearable in the 60s. The humidity is slowly creeping up so that a blanket, hot, dampness seems to fill the air. As of now, we have not put the air-conditioner on but it will be soon, I feel.
Every year, as we go through this period, I get the hope that maybe summer will not be any worse than this. Within about two weeks such wishful thinking is crushed. Still, it hasn't happened yet. Maybe this really will be a reasonable St. Louis summer… …
We are already in summer now.
Here in Northern Europe we´re bound to have a summer considerably warmer than average – prognosis say.I am not looking forward to that either.
Over here, spring has been incredibly hot! Weather changed drastically and now, it rains a bit and suddenly cold again… weird. I can foresee a very uncomfortably hot summer over here. And the beaches will be utterly crowded with tourists. :faint: The secret places we locals swim at, have practically all been exposed or discovered! 😥 😥 Into the sea I´ll be going… risking myself as shark bait! 😆
It's been remarkably cool here in Spokane thus far. In fact the other day it got down to about upper 50s in the afternoon and it was almost as if Winter had turned around and decided to go back where it came from. Which pleases me fine. But I'm like you, Richard — I know that it won't last.
