😥 For the past five years I have devoted my home computers (nearly 23 years of CPU time) to solving biological protein folding and drug interaction simulations, and now, very suddenly, the company that ran the studies, United Devices a.k.a. Grid.org, has stopped operations.
I feel bereft. Ironically, the profusion of alternate distributed computing projects has contributed to this pioneer company's demise so it's not like I can't try something else. But I had become attached to Grid – it's sad to see it go.
